Here are some things you can do to keep track of your laptop computer:

  1. Don’t leave laptop in car.
  2. Don’t leave your laptop “for just a sec”… no matter where you are.
  3. Keep laptop off the floor (or at least between your feet).
  4. Keep passwords separate… not near the laptop or case (do not walk with a notebook which is power on).
  5. Pay attention in airports… especially at security.
  6. Use a laptop security cable.
  7. Use bells and whistles…if you’ve got an alarm, turn it on.
